NHL Owner and Captain Salaries
VGHL is almost back with another season! With a good mixture of new and returning owners, this season could be the most competitive one yet! Before we can get to bidding and the season though, we need to know the management!
Anaheim Ducks Owner: Harry_tattas - 1.000M
Captain: cam123mph - 3.000M
Harry and Cam takeover the Anaheim Ducks and look to make an impact in VGHL. This is the first time these two are gonna be paired together and hope they can create a playoff contending team. Harry had 8 points in 5 games in the NHL last season. Cam had 6 points in 14 games as a skater and .701 save percentage as a goaltender in 9 games.
Owner: worshiper81 - 1.000M
Captain: XxKammer35xX - 3.500M
Worshiper and Kammer takeover the Arizona Coyotes, and honestly, I don’t know that much about either of them. Kammer however did go 6-7 last season in the AHL with 12 points in 13 games.
Owner: xPucky - 3.000M
Captain: IIx-camo29II - 4.000M
Pucky and Camo takeover the Boston Bruins and will try to make their presence known in the Atlantic once again. Pucky, a returning owner who moved Montreal to Boston will take another crack at capturing the Stanley Cup. After a decent attempt last season, he hopes that a new captain in camo will lead him on the right track. Pucky had 127 points in 43 games last season for Montreal while Camo is an excellent defender to build a d-core around.
Owner: SNAKE_-_PLISSKIN - 4.000M
Captain: Akonvict21 - 6.000M
Snake returns to Buffalo for another go at the Stanley Cup. As a former Stanley Cup Champion with the Philadelphia Flyers, Snake goes from captain to owner for the Buffalo Sabres and hopes to reach the promise land again. Snake is an establish VG manager and with no doubt in my mind, is already a cup contender with just his managing presence and expertise. Akon is an excellent pick at captaincy. One of the best centers in the game, not just the league, he is a guy you can comfortably rely on to produce night in and night out.
Owner: T--O--M--M--Y - 3.500M
Captain: Juulpod- - 4.500M
After being a former Calder Cup Champion with fan favourite mcanadiens, Tommy attempts to do the same thing in the NHL and win the Stanley Cup here in VG. He decided to pick an excellent captain in Juulpod, and these two will make a dynamic one two punch at forward. Tommy, being one of the best offensive players in the community today will have no problem coning most defenders. Juulpod should slide in on Tommy’s left side and should be able ot bring a good two way game to Calgary, while still putting up very respectable numbers like he did in season 18, having 81 points in 36 games.
Owner: Visibility12 - 2.500M
Captain: fivepointohhh - 3.500M
Visibility and fivepointohhh take a crack at VGHL management. Both managers have been able to build teams in other leagues, but I do not think they have much experience managing at the NHL level in VG. Visibility has one season under his belt that didn’t go so well, but both look to rebound and shock the VGHL world by making a run at the cup.
Owner: Beantwn_beatdwn - 3.000M
Captain: Lecupidon - 5.000M
After some confusion on what was going on with Chicago’s captain, Beantwn was able to select a solid player in Lecupidon. Beantwn will always be able to build solid teams, and was very close to a playoff birth last season after being eliminated on the last day of the season. He adds an amazing offensive winger in Cupidon as his captain and to have a guy that offensively gifted to start off your roster is a great start for Chicago.
Owner: Fluri37 - 5.000M
Captain: iam-beanzy - 2.500M
After losing in the Western Conference Finals to the eventual Stanley Cup Champs, Fluri looks for revenge and tries to capture the Stanley Cup. With the Riv led Ducks out of the way, it seems like the West is up for grabs, and Fluri decides to go with a new captain in iam-beanzy. Beanzy is a great offensive player who with no doubt in my mind will be a contender for rookie of the year. Fluri is going to need Bean to produce at a level I know he can produce at in order to make it back to the WCF. There’s a lot of work to be done, but these two are a great duo to start.
Columbus Blue Jackets
Owner: sjackson2324 - 2.500M
Captain: jmm420 - 3.500M
Sjackson and jmm are the new managers for the Columbus Blue Jackets. A little bit of an odd pairing if I do say so myself, these two have a lot of work to do to even compete with the king of the Metro, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sjackson has had a rough career in VG, but hopes that this season will be his first step to glory. Jmm takes captain again for the first time in a couple years, and had a respectable 58 points in 28 games last season.
Owner: Castrogstar - 3.000M
Captain: Brazilian-Goalie - 4.500M
Castro and Braz will be your Dallas Stars management for season 20. These two have a lot to prove management wise as not a lot of people are high on them being successful in the strong Western Conference. Castro and Braz hope to silence the critics and be a strong playoff contender. Castro had 84 points in 44 games last season while Braz put up respectable numbers in net.
Detroit Red Wings
Owner: EL_R_O_O_K_I_E - 1.000M
Captain: Cookie_man_412 - 3.000M
Rookie takes the step up to the NHL this season after managing the Providence Bruins last season. While they were off to a strong start, they ended up falling hard throughout the season and were not able to bounce back. Hopefully Rookie learns from his mistakes and is able to be successful in the NHL. He brings along long time friend cookieman as his captain and these two should be on the same page right away.
Owner: Budz_780 - 3.500M
Captain: Riseoftheninja - 4.000M
Budz was able to take the Edmonton Oilers to the playoffs last season, clinching the last spot on the last day of the season. Unfortunately, he was decimated by the eventual Stanley Cup Champs, but with them out of the way, Budz hopes to prove that he can be a good manager. Look for budz to make playoffs again with what he has coming back and his new captain in Riseoftheninja. Ninja has always been a dominant player here, and if he can figure out his connection issues, Budz picked a strong captain.
Owner: Burns-34 - 4.500M
Captain: Funkmegently - 5.000M
Ah, the team I used to run. Good memories. Anyways, Burns comes back for another season as the Florida owner, but he picks a new captain in Funkmegently. Burns has always built playoff teams in Florida, but he is still struggling to get over the hump to be a Stanley Cup contender. Always a premier defender in the league in himself, Burns decides to pick a fellow defender to complete his top line defence. Funk had an excellent season on Carolina, playing 58 games with 65 points, and a +72. This team is already off to a great start, good job Burns.
Los Angeles Kings
Owner: Rollerpig647 - 3.500M
Captain: Gucci_Gui - 5.500M
Rollerpig returns to his home in LA, and returns to management. The ever so dangerous Rollerpig is ready to make his mark on VG again, and prove once again why he is a top manager season in and season out. He takes a new approach in his captain this time, selecting Gucci_Gui, who is always a top point producer. It’ll be interesting to see how these two build their team, but Rollerpig knows what he’s doing and Gui is a great selection for captain.
Owner: IcedFire97 - 2.000M
Captain: Perfetti_- - 2.500M
IcedFire moves up to the NHL after a successful AHL season. He will be taking over the Minnesota Wild roster and this team is my dark horse pick to shock the West. While they may not immediately be cup contenders, no one should look over the potential of this team. Icedfire is a smart manager and can play pretty much anywhere he decides. Perfetti put up 72 points in 29 games in the AHL last season and was able to help his team get 20 wins.
Owner: Arpineoq - 3.500M
Captain: Just_Heinz - 5.000M
I had the pleasure to play with these two in the KHL, and let me tell you these guys are going to be overlooked. They are not the flashiest names out of the bunch in the article, but they should be able to build a competent team as long as they don’t make any huge mistakes. Arpine is a great defender when he decides to play it, and where I think he should play. Heinz is a center you can build an offence around, as he is just a great all around player that won’t give any attitude. I’m hoping these 2 make some noise this season, they’re great guys and underrated players.
Owner: xDeAdLy_xDaNgLeS - 4.500M
Captain: Dshann88 - 4.500M
Deadly selects a new captain in the right defencemen of dshann88. The Western Conference is just filled with excellent management duos, and these guys are just another excellent pair. Deadly has always built amazing teams and has been able to build cup contenders season in and season out. He selects a great right defencemen in dshann88 if that’s where he decides to play. Dshann is an excellent puck mover and will be able to get the puck up to the forwards while not giving up much defensively himself. If Colorado or anyone else in the division wants to get to the Stanley Cup, they have to get by Nashville first.
New Jersey Devils
Owner: MLG-Owen - 2.500M
Captain: x_jack24bauer_x - 6.000M
Owen and Jack are the new managers for the New Jersey Devils, and this is a duo I don’t think we have seen together before. This is Owen’s second try at owner, but his first full season as an owner. Him and jack should be a strong d-pair if they decide to go this route heading into bidding, especially with the lack of elite defenders in the league. They’re going to need to add some offensive firepower but this is not a bad start.
New York Islanders
Owner: BrandonSniper87 - 3.500M
Captain: isles2791 - 5.500M
Brandon and Isles are back for another stint in Long Island. After getting their foot into the door with a playoff birth last season, they hope to build off that with a deeper playoff run. Brandonsniper is a solid forward to start things off and has shown some flashes of great managing with some of the moves he has made. Isles is a great two way center/forward in the league and adds some offensive upside. Brandon’s goal should be to build around Isles if he’s hoping to make a deeper playoff run this season.
New York Rangers
Owner: Scalz_Yanks_24 - 4.000M
Captain: dophares2000 - 5.500M
Scalz and Dophares, aka Doug, are the management duo for the New York Rangers. Both long time members of the community, Scalz has made decent playoff teams as of late. He is relocating the Carolina Hurricanes roster to the Rangers and hopes to reach Stanley Cup glory. Scalz took a backseat to his roster last season in terms of playing time, and it’ll be interesting to see if he does the same. Doug has also been known to take a back seat, so these two managers are very okay with playing the hot hand. We’ll see how they do in bidding.
Owner: Kaxoman - 2.500M
Captain: IDropShotLmao - 4.500M
Kaxo returns to ownership this season after an unsuccessful first go. Hopefully Kaxo learned some tricks last season and is able to have a bounce back season in the Atlantic Division. Picking a new captain in idropshot, he had a very successful season in the AHL. In just 30 games, he had 116 points and was an offensive threat the entire season. Hopefully for Kaxo and Ottawa, he can continue that type of pace at the NHL level.
Owner: xDoughty8x - 4.000M
Captain: itskinglyme - 5.500M
Doughty, aka Smearedpap, returns to VG management and adds long time VG player Kinglyme. These two make an interesting pairing that should be able to do good things this season. What I wonder is if they continue their West trend or if they try to make a more balanced team so they can stay competitive on whatever server the game is played on.
Owner: Kylo_Reli - 5.000M
Captain: The-Statistician - 6.500M
Reli and Stat are back at it again, and there is no doubt in my mind these guys are the favourites to win the cup. When you have a perennial manager of the year candidate, MVP candidate and Norris candidate, you’re already off to a good start. These two have been the best management duo consistently over the past few seasons, and after losing in the finals last season, they are back and hungrier than ever. They want their cup back and I’d like to try anyone get in their way.
San Jose Sharks
Owner: Capitalsfan_08 - 3.000M
Captain: Burnsfornorris - 5.500M
Capitalsfan makes the jump up to the NHL this season like others in this article. He was a very successful AHL manager and the pairing of him and Burnsfornorris is just perfect. Caps is excellent anywhere you put him, and Burnsfornorris is a top defender by all means. Whether these two will be on the same page when it comes to management decisions remains to be seen, but in a tough Western Conference, I expect the Sharks to make some noise.
St Louis Blues
Owner: ExEcuTioNeR-_-53 - 2.500M
Captain: chadkillz134 - 6.000M
Exe returns to management this season, but he decides to go a different route in his captain. For the first time, he decides to pick chadkillz, who is an excellent goaltender and is a position that STL will not need for the rest of the season. Exe has proven that he can build very good teams, but in a strong Western Conference, he’s got a lot of work to do to prove that he’s still got it. Chad on the other hand leaves Colorado and tries a new owner in Exe, and hopes he can get over the hump and make it to the Stanley Cup finals.
Tampa Bay Lightning
Owner: Kaliyev_34 - 1.000M
Captain: crucifiedhaircut - 5.000M
Honestly, I don’t know much about these two. Both of them will be new owners to VG, with crucifiedhaircut basically making their VG debut. Kaliyev had 40 points in 21 games last season between Calgary and Florida, but will hope to have a better record on the Lightning in order to make the playoffs. I don’t know much about these two so I won’t give them any expectations.
Toronto Maple Leafs
Owner: rich2k8 - 4.000M
Captain: Vegaridge - 5.000M
From two managers I don’t know at all to two managers I know very well. Rich and Vega are coming back for another season, and you know these guys will be one of the top 3 teams in the Atlantic division just from their pedigree. Rich is an excellent right winger or right defender, depending on how he builds his team and Vega has been a consistent top center in VG for so many years. I expect great things from Toronto and hopefully they can win a cup sometime soon.
Owner: CRIMSON1979 - 3.000M
Captain: ANHEUSERSHEEP - 4.000M
These two will be paired up for the first time, going into a stacked Western Conference. Crimson, a former Stanley Cup Champion, will hope to do the same thing again, except this time as the owner instead of the player. Season 19 went well for Crimson, having a positive record, but he will hope to do more than just well. Sheep had 104 points in 37 games last season for the Syracuse Crunch, and hopes he can have the same type of production in the NHL.
Vegas Golden Knights
Owner: PNCPark2k1 - 3.000M
Captain: Gritty13 - 3.000M
PNC and a new captain, name a better duo. PNC returns to the Vegas Golden Knights, after relocating from his beloved Penguins many seasons ago. He brings on a new captain in Gritty13, who honestly I don’t know much about. PNC is pretty up and down when it comes to how successful of a team he builds, but he hopes he can make it back into the playoffs this go around. Gritty had 80 points in 37 games in the AHL last season, so he’s hoping he can do a bit better in the NHL with different talent around him.
Owner: Popeskill - 2.500M
Captain: Reapr_74 - 2.500M
Popeskill and Reapr are the new management duo for the Washington capitals. Pope, returning as the Washington owner, has had a bad start to his management career. He hopes that a new captain will help the cause. Pope has been to the Stanley Cup finals as a goaltender before, so he knows what type of team it will take to get there. Reapr is really just getting his feet wet in VG so I don’t know that much about him, but good luck to these 2!
Owner: bomberattack58 - 1.500M
Captain: stavio_98 - 3.000M
Bomberattack and stavio make for an odd new pairing for the Winnipeg Jets. Bomber had good numbers in the PHL 2 seasons ago, and went 3-1 for Detroit in the playoffs last season as a goaltender with a .840 save percentage. If he can continue that level of play for a full season, then Winnipeg will not need to worry about goaltending. Stavio played defence for a few games for the Laval Rocket last season and actually did pretty well, having 11 points in just 7 games. He also had a 5-2 record in the regular season. While this may be an odd pairing and it looks like an uphill battle to climb in the West, these guys are off to an okay start with solid talent in management.
