Game Nights/Times announcement
The first is that we will be adhering to a new schedule this season. VG has always been a 4 night league but after careful discussion, VG will be shifting to a 3 night league with 3 games a night. The new schedule will be as follows:
Mon: 9:20pm, 10:00pm, 10:40pm
Wed: 9:20pm, 10:00pm, 10:40pm
Thur: 9:20pm, 10:00pm, 10:40pm
Draft Picks
As for the Draft and what it means since there was no AHL last season, we have adopted the following rules for this upcoming draft only:
Any AHL player that finished on a roster in Season 23 and was either a Free Agent or Idle during Season 24.
Any Free Agent from Season 24 that has never had an NHL contract.
Any player from Season 24, that was their first season, that had a total of 20 games or less.
One Rule addition that will help to strengthen the draft:
All players that were signed during/after Mid-Season Bidding or during playoffs are in-eligible to be re-signed and will be eligible for the draft as long as they have never held an NHL Contract prior to Season 24.
