Week 4 Recap: Eastern Conference
Well with week 4 wrapping up not many changes have been made over in the east, no one has moved and the conference seems to be at its permanent placing til the playoffs. The battle for the wildcard also seems to be pushing away from the fight it looked like it would be. Without wasting anymore time let’s get into it.
Atlantic:
1.) Florida Panthers (28-7-0 / 56pts)
With another great week from the panthers it looks as if they have the top of the Atlantic locked in getting closer to playoffs. I am completely convinced that they can maintain this pace until playoffs and possibly further.
Top Performer: Perryl10l (6-2-0 / 18G / 52P / +37)
2.) Tampa Bay Lightning (24-7-4 / 52pts)
After their new acquisitions in guys like Crowe the lightning were able to go on a 7 game win streak this week pushing closer back to the top of the division. It’ll be close with them and the panthers for the top of the division but as of right now the lightning look like a power house moving forward.
Top Performer: Hyperzov (6-0-1 / 2G / 21P / +20)
3.) Buffalo Sabres (19-15-1 / 39pts)
Thanks to a great week from their forward it seems like this is the only reason the sabres were able to keep their position in the standings. Their biggest weakness is for sure the goaltending but hopefully they can fix this before the deadline.
Top Performer: Hxrdie- (4-4-0 / 19G / 32P / +1)
Metropolitan:
1.) Philadelphia Flyers (31-3-2 / 64pts)
Another great 8-0-1 week for the flyers led by the future hart winner Chokey. The only way to stop this team right now is shutting down Chokey, but even then they have a great depth in skill for any of their other players to fill the net.
Top Performer: xChokey (7-0-1 / 30G / 45P / +31)
2.) New York Rangers (27-9-0 / 54pts)
Gonna be very difficult for them to keep up with the flyers moving forward but the rangers have the players to do it. They did have a slightly down week but that’s nothing to worry about. I know this team will be a force to mess with in playoffs.
Top Performer: Jags19- (3-2-0 / 16G / 22P / +4)
3.) Pittsburgh Penguins (23-11-2 / 48pts)
With some of their better guys playing less games this week the penguins still had a very good week led by Wally and Salty. I guess this proved that they do have the depth and maybe spending most of their cap on Sevy wasn’t as big of a problem as we thought.
Top Performer: SaltyNToxic98 (6-2-0 / 9G / 21P / +6)
Wildcard:
1.) Washington Capitals (22-11-3 / 47pts)
The capitals seem to be slowly getting better by the week being led by Kuchxrov. Every week they get closer to a division spot and with a few weeks left I could easily see it happening.
Top Performer: Frxnch-Kuchxrov (6-1-2 / 13G 29P / +16)
2.) Carolina Hurricanes (20-13-2 / 42pts)
Looks like the Canes will be holding this position until playoff’s with no outstanding moves or real difference makers each week I can only see them sitting here until the playoffs.
Top Performer: HeyKep (6-1-1 / 16G / 27P / +11)
As that recaps week 4 I can only be excited for what will happen moving forward and with that being said thanks for reading and good luck to all teams going forward!
